A crowded north coast public beach at Semana Santa

Thurs 21st to Sun 24th April 2011 is taken as holiday by most Dominicans to celebrate “Semana Santa” or Holy Week (Easter Week).
During this holiday period most of the island’s population migrate to the beaches for heavy partying involving copious amounts of rum. Expect areas around public beach access points to be more crowded than usual.
