Water conditions: The water at Dreams Palm Beach is calm all year round. No surf for boogie boarding here. No rip tides or strong currents.
Snorkeling: Not much to see right at the beach. There is some fast boat traffic outside of the roped off swim zones, though no where near as much as on Bavaro and Cortecito beaches. Snorkeling gear is free for 1 hour each day with a 20$US returnable deposit or you can rent for longer. Short snorkel trips to the outer reefs where there are more fish, 5 minute boat ride away, available at the watersports center.
