The Bavaro Brugal Merengue Festival in Punta Cana!
Date: 15 & 16 Oct 2010
Venue: Palma Real Shopping Plaza (see map)
Time: 8pm
Entrance is free to the public!
This fantastic event is organised by The Brugal Group and The Ministry of Tourism to promote tourism in Punta Cana. It’s the first time the event has come to the East of the island and will feature guest appearances by bachata artists as well as merengue artists. Read More→

How did we miss this?! Iberostar Hotels & Resorts have signed up Antonio Banderas as the new face of their “On vacation, we’re all Stars” ad campaign. The following publicity video was shot, alas not Punta Cana, but in Mexico. The setting of Iberostar Grand Hotel Paraiso Mexico was selected by Trip Advisor users – Damn! They should’ve voted for Punta Cana!
